Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LekhaX, a product of SoftCrunch, including our website (lekhax.com), web application (app.lekhax.com), and mobile app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

LekhaX provides accounting software for Nepali businesses, including VAT-compliant invoicing, TDS tracking, IRD e-billing support, and financial reporting. LekhaX is a tool to help you manage your books. It does not replace the judgment of a qualified accountant or tax advisor, and you remain responsible for the accuracy of your filings with the Inland Revenue Department and other authorities.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• An organization may have multiple users; the organization owner is responsible for managing user access.

3. Plans and billing

• LekhaX is offered on annual subscription plans (Starter and Plus), as described on our pricing page.
• Subscription fees are billed in advance for the annual period and are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We may change our pricing with reasonable advance notice; changes will not apply retroactively to an already-paid period.
• You may upgrade your plan at any time; the change takes effect as described in the app at the time of upgrade.

4. Your data

You retain ownership of the business and financial data you enter into LekhaX. We access it only as needed to provide the Service, as described in ourPrivacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including tax evasion or falsifying financial records.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another organization's data or to LekhaX's systems.
• Reverse engineer, resell, or white-label the Service without our written permission.

6. Availability

We aim to keep LekhaX available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance and unforeseen issues may cause temporary downtime.

7. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

8. Limitation of liability

LekhaX is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoftCrunch is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including errors in tax filings that result from inaccurate data entered by you or your organization.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
